A little out of the norm for me art-wise, but not a surprise if you know me as a person. Personal style is an interesting thing to me, and my closet of shoes is part of that. A few years ago I decided to draw them all, and this one was #38. The paper I designed with beachy California vibes in mind for a packaging design class, and the experiment of drawing on a non-white paper intrigued me.

I love the stark monochromatic palette of the unapologetic pencil, rich in its pools of concentrated darks, over this patterned paper with dreams of surf waves at sunset.
